Patient Information - Plano, TX

What to Expect When You Come to See Us

Many of the patients who come to see us are exhausted and frustrated from dealing with chronic pain so longterm. At Orofacial Pain Associates, we want to make the entire process of treating your condition easy and stress-free, so below, you’ll find some helpful information on what to expect at your first visit. If you have any questions, be sure to give us a call, and our knowledgeable team will have all the answers you need.

Your First Visit

Your new patient experience will begin before you ever step foot in our office. After scheduling your appointment, we’ll ask that you complete and return a patient history so we can begin to understand your symptoms and save time when you come to see us. This information is extremely important to the doctor and he wants to study your responses carefully. On the day of your visit, you will get extensive time with your doctor while they examine and try to determine the source of your pain. Before you leave, we’ll make sure you understand what is causing your discomfort and go over your care options. We’ll also offer treatment that will provide some immediate, if short term, relief. You’ll be scheduled for a follow-up appointment so we can give you a more long-term solution.
